Brendan Foreman has many years experience working for Irish design agencies and the cultural sector. He was resident graphic designer with the Abbey Theatre for 8 years and a director of Graphiconies – a design studio specialising in the cultural and social sectors – for 10 years. His posters have been shown in Dublin, Paris, Stuttgart, Munich and Rzeszow and published in Graphis International. In 2025 the National Print Museum will host a revival of their successful 2014 retrospective of his Abbey Theatre poster designs entitled ‘Playboys, Paycocks and Playbills’.
He was a co-founder and creative director of Public Communications Centre, a leading strategic marketing, campaigning and fundraising agency for non-profits, and has worked with state, semi-state and non-profit organisations in Ireland, Europe and the Developing World.
“Brendan Foreman is without doubt one of Ireland’s leading designers of any era. He is unique in his formation, his influences and his talent. Most contemporary designers have learned their trade on the keyboard. But Foreman is one of the few designers in Ireland who has worked through a number of seminal traditions and crossed seamlessly into the new digital frontier of quality design.”
"When I’m looking for a designer who both understands what I need but also brings something new and wonderful and unexpected to the process, I always go to Brendan Foreman. He never lets me down.”
Designs for Abbey Theatre, Gate Theatre, Gaiety Theatre, Rough Magic, Project Arts Centre, Decadent Theatre and many others.
